My research is focused on reducing the uncertainty in current estimates of the direct radiative effect (DRE) of aerosols using NASA's High Spectral Resolution Lidar (HSRL)-retrieved data and CATCH (Creating Aerosol Types from CHemistry)-derived aerosol types. RRTMG (Rapid Radiative Transfer Model for GCMs) will be used to calculate global DRE estimates.
